Joong Ki was on fire. His idea to go clubbing backfired badly on him. Not spending time alone with her? This is worse than every sightseeing could do! How come he didn't see it coming? Paboo, Joong Ki, really really paboo!
Different from Moonie he did see the interested eyes of In Sung though he had to admit that In Sung was really holding himself back. He was friendly and open-minded but not more. Maybe it was because his antennas where always towards Chae Won that's why he could sense it. He was fighting his feelings all night already. Since he couldn't be together with her wasn't it perfectly fine when she had someone like In Sung who was down-to-earth but still successful and well-mannered? Unfortunately his feelings didn't cooperate with his brain. So everytime he saw them talking comfortably with each other, too comfortably for him, he couldn't help but meddling in.
However, who could blame him? She was beautiful like a peony tonight! His heart skipped a beat when he picked her up and she smiled at him. She was breath-taking in her pink neckholder dress that showed her perfect legs and shoulders. The black high heels made her legs even more sexier. The black blow around her waist made him feel like opening it, just like opening a gift just for himself. If he wouldn't be madly in love with her already he woud have fallen for her tonight. Wait, maybe he did it and was now double in love with her? He had to smirk about his own stupid thoughts. So could he really reproach In Sung for liking what he saw as well?
"Oppa?" he heard her asking voice. He couldn't tell himself how he meant it when he asked her to call him like this. His heart wanted the one meaning while his brain told him the other. However, more than both he wanted everyone to know that she belonged to him. Yes, that was stupid and narrow-minded but who cared? What should he do now? He needed to calm down and most of all cool down first! Ottokeeee?
Breathing deeply in he quickly stepped back from her. Luckily the music also changed into a faster song. The DJ announced Big Bang's "Fantastic Baby". He put both hands around her face and while looking at her he said, "Let's go! I need to talk to you!" Moonie only nooded. Taking her hand they left the club. Outside Hyo Joo and her cousin came back to his mind. Quickly he messaged her and excused for their leaving. He remembered that the club was next to a park so he headed for a quiet place. Since it was already late the park was nearly deserted. There were only here and there some couples that were searching for reclusiveness as well.
Placing Chae Won on a bench he turned to her. Since their leaving she didn't say a word. In the moonshine she face was glowing fairylike. Her natural beauty was more tempting to him than any well-thought-out seduction. All the words he wanted to say vanished from his mind while looking like hypnotized at her.
The love that beamed from her eyes made him shiver inwardly. Biting her lips she smiled, half embarrassed, half excited. Her sexy cuteness was his death. Unable to resist her love and his own longing he leaned in. Placing both hands around her head his lips met hers. Hungrily he took over her mouth after she opened her lips. Chae Won wrapped both arms around his neck. His hands moved down her back and he could feel her silky skin again. The softness that already turned off his mind in the club.
"Oppa!" she whispered. This one word called him back to reality. Like a cold shower he woke up from his dream. What the hell was he doing? Why did he never learn form his mistakes? He should have known that he couldn't resist her!
"No, we have to stop, Moonie! This is not supposed to be!" he took both of her hands and looked imploringly at her.
"Why? Tell me, why? I know, you want me, I can feel it!" she wanted to know.
"I'm a man, you know? We are driven by sexual desire. It was only because I didn't have a girl for quite some time. So when I saw you in your alluring dress my passion aroused! I'm a man nonetheless! It's nothing but naked desire!" he smashed the words against her head, not knowing how else to stop this whole situation.
With every word Chae Won turned more pale till her face was white like a ghost. His every word was like a slap in her face. She couldn't even give it back to him. Though she hated herself for her weakness she couldn't stop her eyes from filling slowly with tears. Biting her lips she gave her best to prevent them from falling, but to no avail. Quickly she stood up and turned around.
"I see! I'm sorry for misunderstanding you!" she forced herself to say while choking down her sobbing, walking away from him afterwards. Was this the end of their friendship? She knew their relationship would be over once she left this place. The thought made her cry harder. Putting her hand on her mouth she quickened her steps. It was only when she walked around the corner that she started to run.
She didn't see a heartbroken Joong Ki who clenched his fists. He knew how much his words had hurt her. He could feel her pain as if it was his. No, it was his, too! Her sobbing that reached his ears where the most painful sound in the world. It was when she was out of his sight that he couldn't stand it anymore. Instinctively he ran after her.
"Moonie! Moonie, please, wait!" he screamed after her. He could see her again. She'd taken off her shoes to run better. He knew she heard him but she didn't stop. No, she rather increased her speed. Damn, this woman was fast! He was determined to catch her. So he speeded up as well. Finally he could catch her shoulders. However, she struggled herself free.
"Leave me alone!" she cried.
"I can't! Please, Moonie, I'm so sorry!" he stated and quickly wrapped both arms from behind around her.
"Don't you think that you hurt me enough already?" she sobbed while still trying to get out of his back hug.
"I know and I can't tell you how sorry I am!" he repeated his words, but refused to let her go.
Slowly her resistance faded away. He hugged her even tighter. His eyes were filled with tears as well.
"Then tell me why you are playing this game with me! You are giving me carrot and stick!" she said exhaustedly.
"I can't! Can you not understand that I'm not doing this purposely? My feelings for you are something that I can't control!"
"Then why trying to stop something we both want? I can't understand it!" again she tried to struggle herself free.
This time he let her go. Quickly she made two steps away from him while still refusing to look at him.
"I guess this is the end of our relationship? I don't think I can go on like this!" she whispered sadly.
The thought of losing her drove him crazy. Did he lose the most precious person to him?
"No! Our relationship is not something you can end!" he disagreed.
"Every relationship can have an end! Do you really think we can go on like this?"
"I don't care for anything else I long as I have you!"
"Now you are talking nonsense! I'm not going to listen to your imbroglio anymore!"
Picking up her shoes that had fallen down on the ground she started to walk again. After three steps he kept hold of her and pulled her around. The pain in his eyes made her aware again that he suffered under the situation as well. Though she couldn't understand why he still refused to give their relationship a chance. She didn't believe his words anymore that he was afraid to lose her as a friend. He was about to lose her anyway! So what was his reason?
"Please, tell me why we can't be lovers...something I know we both want!" she urged him.
"I can't, please don't force me!"
"I'm not forcing you, I'm begging you!" suddenly she kneeled in front of him, her tears were falling again.
Looking down at her he felt like someone had torn his heart in two. Why did no one ever tell him that love would hurt that much? Pressing his lips together he took a deep breath to keep his composure. Quickly he put both hands on her upper arms and helped her to get up. She lost her balance, her shaky knees gave up their work, forcing him to wrap both arms around her to keep hold of her. Both looked in each other's eyes while he slowly got up. Her eyes begged him to give her the answer. He gulped.
Should he really risk to lose her? However, wasn't she right that they couldn't go on like this? Ottoke?
"Mom, please forgive me but or else I will lose another person I love!" he thought, letting her go he said out loud calmly, "We can't be lovers because you are my sister!"
More than aghast Chae Won look at him. Did she hear him right? It was no nightmare, right?
"Si..si..sister?" she stuttered, "What...what kind of joke is this? Isn't it too cruel?"
"I wished it was a joke! Do you really think this is the right moment to make jokes?" he asked back.
Looking at his serious face it slowly hit her that he really meant what he said! It would explain his actions at least! Slowly she took one step backwards after the other. He was her brother? She loved her brother with all her might???
