Summary: A very particular pet shop where someone’ll find someone special. Purr!

“Ok.. yeah, don’t worry.. What the hell man, I said I’ll take care of that, didn’t I?.. yeah.. Oh and check the clock before calling next time, will you?.. yeah, bye”
Ruki finally ended his call, cursing under his breath. He threw the annoying thing on the bed and he walked out of his bedroom. He chuckled as the image of a scared Reita jumping off him and running to save his life flashed in his mind.
He entered the living room and walked toward the cage. It was closed and the black cloth was on it again. He shook his head with an amused smile and kneeled in front of it. He lifted the piece of fabric, so that the front side of the cage was visible and he had serious problems not to aww out loud at what he saw inside.
Reita was sitting in a corner of his cage, his blanket wrapped around himself, head to toe. Neither his face was visible, cause his head was hung down.
All softened up by the scene he sat on the floor and carefully opened the cage, the squeak making Reita lift his head slowly.
Ruki tilted his head: “Hi”
Reita nodded his head.
“Mind coming over here? I’d like to take a good look at you” he said gently.
Reita hesitated, but it wasn’t like he’d disobey, so he slowly shrugged the blanket off and crawled closer to his master. He was about to get out of the cage that a certain smell hit him again. He moaned quietly and took few step back, covering his nose with his paws.
“What is it?” asked Ruki curiously.
“Y-your smell.. I-I c-can’t.. get closer” he replied in a tiny voice.
Ruki’s eyes got wide and turned his head to sniff himself: “Hey, I still have to shower but I don’t smell that bad!”
“Y-you don’t.. it’s quite the opposite.. you smell even too good, I-I can’t control myself if I get too close, the smell is too strong” explained the kitty.
“Oh” said Ruki, he thought for a moment and then stood up “hold on, I’ll be right back” he said, and then disappeared down the corridor.
Reita looked curiously at his back and he didn’t even had the time to take a deep breath that Ruki was coming back with something in his hand.
“Here, let’s put this on you, it’d help” he said showing him a strip of grey fabric.
He sat down again on the floor, spreading his legs: “Come on” he patted the empty space between them.
Reita looked at him. It seemed like a good idea after all. He crawled closer to his master and sat quietly of the floor. He didn’t look at him but he lift a paw to rub his nose.
That smell again.
Ruki smiled. His kitty really was adorable. He took the cloth and put it around the other’s nose. Reita’d feel the warmth of his master’s hands working on the back of his head to tie the cloth. He’d not look at him, but he eventually gave into temptation and dared to lift his gaze to rest it on Ruki’s concentrated face.
He was so beautiful.
Without noticing he stared at him with half lidded eyes and began to purr again.
Meanwhile Ruki successfully tied a knot to keep the cloth in place and, hearing the soft noises the other was making his attention was drawn by the cute being.
He cupped his face and saw Reita’s eyes blink lazily, the purring getting more intense. He touched his lips with a thumb and was quite surprise when they cracked open and a pink tongue poked out to lick his finger tip. Ruki smiled and run his wet finger on those pretty lips again. He tuck a lock of blonde hair behind his ear and lifted his hand to pet his head, scratching behind his cat ears.
Reita smiled in satisfaction and leaned closer to his master, putting his forehead on the other’s shoulder.
Ruki circled his pet’s body with his arms and kept cuddling him. He’d get definitely used to this. It felt nice and warm and the purring sound Reita was making made him feel pleasantly lazy. They just need to change position cause his knees were begging for pity.
He tried to shift a bit on the spot, without bothering Reita, but something went evidently wrong and his pet straightened his back immediately, looking away embarrassedly.
Ruki sighed and scratched his head:
“So, err.. does it work?” he said awkwardly, pointing at the noseband.
Reita touched his covered nose and gave a couple of big sniffs, then he mumbled: “It’s better, thank you”
Ruki nodded: “Your name is Reita, right?”
“Yes, either Reita or Akira”
“Do you know mine?” Ruki asked gently.
“I don’t” Reita shook his head a little.
“It’s Takanori, but you can call me Ruki”
“Ruki sama?” asked Reita shyly, raising his gaze for a second.
“Uh, for now” nodded Ruki thoughtfully. He’d not let his pet to call him with his real name, they weren’t on familiar terms yet.
He checked the clock on the living room’s wall. It was almost 8 and it was Saturday and he felt pissed as he remembered what took him out of his bed. Fucking work calls.
“Hey, it’s still early, what about napping for a bit before breakfast? I don’t have to work today so I’d loooove to sleep some more” proposed Ruki.
Reita stiffened again: “I-I.. w-whatever you w-want Ruki sama” he said nervously.
“Great! Let’s go” said Ruki cheerfully and stood up.
He stretched his arm to give Reita a hand to stand up. Reita looked at it and took it slowly. He was pulled on his feet with a smile and then he was being dragged toward the bedroom by his master.
Ruki climbed on his huge bad and scooted toward the middle to make space for Reita. He patted the mattress and looked at him as he jumped on the sheets and nervously lay down. Ruki nodded in approval and pulled sheets and blanket over them. He made himself comfortable on his side and then he noticed how tense Reita was:
“Come on, come closer, I don’t bite, you know” he said, spreading his arms invitingly.
Reita felt like a nervous wreck, but he slowly scooted closer to his master. Ruki hummed and took him in his arms:
“Don’t be so nervous, I just want to cuddle you until I fall asleep that, by the way, will happen like now” he said yawning.
Reita chuckled and finally tried to relax.
It actually felt nice to be in a comfortable bed surrounded in warmth. He hide in face in his master’s neck as Ruki smiled fondly and stroked his hair gently. With each stroke Reita’d feel the nervousness be swept away bit by bit. He soon began to purr again and feel his eyelids closing on their own. He gave a couple of grateful licks to his master’s neck earning a quiet moan and a kiss on his forehead.
He snuggled closer to his master, making Ruki go all soft. He squeezed him closer. Hugging him with arms and legs and then he finally let his sleeping pet’s purring lull him into sleep.

Another chap done :D Wow, so far the story is practically writing by itself.
I’m quite pleased about the reason I found to make a kitty wear a noseband XD
I don’t know how you guys imagine Reita since I haven’t made a complete description yet, but you’d think about a normal Reita with cat ears and a tail *points at the banner*. I talk about paws to make everything more cat-ish but he has actual hands XD
