Ok, so here is the rest of what happened in Brazil... Although there is not all that much left.

Well, I did forget to mention about this one restaurant we at in Salvador where my feet got eaten up by ants! Yeah. It hurt. So, I was just sitting innocently at the table, drinking my guarana (that's a soft drink that is very popular in Brazil, quite tasty), and then, I feel this stinging sentation going on all over my feet! So, I bring my foot up from under the table, and there are little ants crawling around on it! AHHHH!!! So I knock them all off thinking that I may have walked through and ant hill on the way to the restaurant. So, I but my foot back down... and then I feel it again! So, I do the same thing again, and this time I investigate underneath the table, and that's where the ants are. So... I just keep my feet up on this plank that runs the length of the table for the remainder of dinner. And I ate this weird sea food pasta stuff. It was a "sea food medley", so it was interesting, to say the least... not my favorite thing I ate there....

Another experience we had in Salvador was the public transportation system. We took a bus to the beach one day... and it was pretty packed, so most of us had to stand... and that is not a good thing there. The drivers are CRAZY!!! I almost fell over a couple of time. It was scarey! Haha.

Well, let's see... Hm... Ok, so also while we were in Salvador, we went tide pooling the last morning we were there. That was awesome. I got some really pretty pictures, and found some cool sea shells. Then we had to shower and pack and leave Salvador. Yep. And then we arrived in Sao Paulo.

There was a lot of "personal expression" in Sao Paulo. That's what I termed their grafiti. It was all over the place. Yeah... But I never saw any of them in act. Too bad. I would have taken a picture. Heh.

Well, I got to go to a grocery store in both Sao Paulo and Salvador. The one in Salvador was more like Wal*Mart, but the one in Sao Paulo was more like a neighborhood store. So, that was cool. On our way to the air port to go home in Sao Paulo, we did actually see a Wal*Mart. that was crazy. Wal*Mart is everywhere.

So, the cab ride to the air port was very smushed. Rackel and I had to split the back seat with luggage. That was crazy. And then some of the guys tried to tell us that they had less room with four of them in the back of a taxi. I think we probably had it about the same, but nooooo... It's always worse for them. Psht. Stupid boys.

Oh, and that reminds me! We were in Brazil during their valentine's day! That was neat. The restaurant we went to that night gave all of the girls flowers. That was nice. Julie said, yes, this is a real present. Haha.

Well, Let's see... In the Sao Paulo air port, I got to do some shopping. That was cool. I got a neat book bag. It has the Brazilian flad on it. Just like everything down there. That's one of the interesting things about that country. Everyone is so patriotic! And they wear their flag ALL THE TIME! Yeah... interesting difference.
Ok, so The flight from Sao Paulo to Chicago... There was a poodle on board. Man did it like to cry. I bet its ears were hurting, though. And it was hard to sleep, again. But, oh well.

Then we got to Chicago. And Brittany and I needed to find a money exchange. So, we go to a bar and ask a bar tender. Man was it good to be back in an english speaking country. We understood him! :D Haha. So, we find the place... but it doesn't open until 9. And our flight leaves at 8:25...so no money exchanging for us. We just wait until Memphis...

But, of course our flight had to be delayed. Yeah... We left an hour late, so we probably could have exchanged money there. And probably for a better rate. The rate stunk in Memphis (oh, and pat said that we couldn't exchange money there, even though my parents had already found the place... So, she just had no idea what she was talking about and wanted to pretend that she did. And she was actually very certain of the fact that we couldn't exchange money there, too.)

So, we got to Memphis, and the first person we see, was MRS. NANCY!!!! YAY!!! We had all pitched in and gotten her a hammock in Salvador. :) And we all got to give it to her! As soon as my luggage came off the plane. :) I got to carry it back since I was smart and had giant luggage, and started with the biggest one being empty and surrounding the smaller one. YES!

Well, then we all departed. And once again it was Brittany, my parents, Pat, and me in the car... But we stopped at cracker barrel. Man, that was some gooooood food. *sigh* That's a great place to eat as a first meal back in the US. And in the south, for that matter. Heh...

Well, we then make it to Martin, and then Pat and Brittany leave. And yesterday, I finally finished unpacking my big bags... The stuff just isn't all put away. Haha. I hate packing/unpacking. That's the worst thing about travel. :S

Ok, so I guess there was more than I thought. Or I just started to remember more. Hehe... Well, I guess I'll let you all go now. Have a good day!
