I think the question might what don't I like about this. Seriously. The details about Ryan's journal, god. I already told you, it makes me miss writing in my real journal. Even when he's writing completely random stuff in his journal, he's conscious of the way it looks on the page, which is so totally in line with the lyrics in the liner notes and everything, the way he uses white space.

And dear god, Brendon listening to classical music just about killed me. I've been thinking about that on and off since, and I just. BRENDON. Of course Ryan feels inadequate when faced with that. *smooshes them*

Brendon, despite his goofy exterior is remarkably adept at picking up new things, especially ones that relate to Ryan.

So, so true. If he can learn a new instrument just by looking at it, why should Ryan be any different?

Also, when I said I wanted to see a vibrator scene with Ryan? Yeah, that's why. Jesus fuck.

I can't even comment on the fisting scene, because yes, yes, a thousand times, yes. Finally! And dare I say it was worth the wait?

I mean, people are always fond of saying that the sex (however mind-blowing) isn't even the best part. And, you know, it might not be, but that doesn't mean it's not fantastic. I mean, when I write, I like hearing people compliment the sex as well as the characterization or whatever. And in my career, I've read a lot of sex, and it's to the point now where I'm getting a little snobbish about what I read. Don't get me wrong, I don't think I'll ever get bored reading about boysex or anything, but sometimes I have to admit it can feel a little stale. Which makes it all the better when an author writes about things in such a way that's fresh and hot and makes me go "oh, fuck, yeah!" You've got a natural knack for that. I'm glad this story helped you explore it. SEE, HAVING YOU WRITE FOR ME WAS A PUBLIC SERVICE. ;)

But man, yeah. So much OTP goodness, too. All the little things I like about Brendon and Ryan without turning them into caricatures, you know? It's like, yes, Brendon is kind of a dorkass and Ryan is kind of a prissy little bitch, but not all the time, not necessarily overwhelmingly so. You've got all the little nuances down, and I love that. Brendon will sit still for music and for Ryan, and Ryan stops being serious long enough to wrestle with Brendon and help him make candy wrapper jewelry. They're more complicated characters than people sometimes give them credit for. You obviously understand that.

he can't just define them as "fucking", because when there's not sex, there's sleeping together (even when there isn't sex) and Brendon always gets him little gifts when he goes off adventuring with Erik or Bart or whoever, dorky little things, and Ryan always makes sure there's Twizzlers and other various and sundry junk foods in his suitcase and on the bus for Brendon.

I just. Wow, yeah, I can tell that this was written for me because seriously, SO MANY KINKS. I just. The shippy sex was so good, with Ryan all "hi, yeah, Brendon's dick in my ass, AWESOME" and the fingers and everything, yes, yes, yes.

Like. The vibrator scene was sort of weird to write since I was so freaking nervous, but also tons of fun, ahaha, and I'm really glad to hear that it pushed your buttons 'n' stuff. I mean. I like that the characterisations worked and everything, but let's face it, man, writing characters comes so much more easily to me than writing sex. That's where all the hard work was! So it's great to hear that I did that well enough to make you happy :D
