Failed Plans & Jealous Kitties
Wow, it's after midnight... it's Saturday.
I really wanted to go over to my dad's house today with Monk. But, things didn't work out right so we can't go today. My dad has had a tough week. I can tell by talking to him over the phone that he is full of nervous energy. He's always out doing everything and anything to keep himself busy. I get the same way when I'm nervous.
In other news... at the present moment, Gemma is laying in my lap! She is developing "Middle Child Syndrome" since Blinkey arrived. She has been SO mad. She has not wanted anything to do with me. She kept growling and hissing at me, she even bit me several times! She has NEVER done that out of anger. She has been the "baby" for almost 4 years. A lot of that time it was just me and her together, so she does not want her mommy loving up on any other kitties. Neh Neh has been back and forth between me and her "foster" parents over the last few years. Plus, Neh is over 8 years older than Gemma and is the alpha female. So, Gemma isn't half as bad when it comes to her.
Since I got home from work today, Gem has been pretty normal with me. I'm just happy that she doesn't beat up on Blinkey. I know they are going to be really good playmates. Gem tries to play with Neh a lot, but Neh is older and doesn't want to play ALL the time. Gem sits and watches Blinkey play and you can tell she wants to join in. In a few weeks, I know they will be running all over the place together :)
