Well, this is my car now... How terribly sad... The guy who hit me was driving a HUGE F250 truck... So when he hit me he seriously got STUCK in my front end... When he was in the process of backing his truck out of my car he drug my car across the street. So this is what he did to my front end. You can click the pictures to see them bigger and get the full affect of what happened to my poor baby.
This is obviously my rear bumper. He hit me SO hard he pushed my car back five feet into another car. My friend Emily's car has a liscense plate thing on the front of her car that protrudes out. So that's where the two holes in my rear bumper came from.
This insurance company I'm having to deal with are a bunch of bullshiters... They sent me some papers to fill out to basically sign over the title to them. BUT I haven't heard a word about how much money they are going to give me for my settlement. I asked some friends and my dad what I should do. Everyone has told me NOT to send them the title to the car until I AT LEAST know the check is in the mail. My dad suggested going to their offices to exchage the title for the check but since their office is in Dallas, Texas, that's not really a possibility. Since it's the weekend I can't call them because they won't be in the office since it's a weekend. I'll be calling them Monday morning and either talking to the guy I have to deal with or leaving him a message stating that if they do not contact me by the end of this business week I will start the process of taking them to small claims court. Unless they are going to tell me how much money my settlement is for and GUARANTEE me that the check will be over-nighted to me right away.
I WILL have the money by the end of this week, OR I will start the process of taking them to court. I'd rather just get the damn money so I can buy my new pretty Dodge instead of taking them to court. Taking them to court will cost more money but the amount of money it will take to go to court will become part of the amount I am sueing them for. Plus lost wages, suffering and aggervation, and anything else I can get those bastards for.
Today marked the three week anniversary of the accident. It should NEVER take three weeks for any insurance company to process a claim. Forget the fact that this is SUCH an easy case to figure out. HE HIT MY PARKED CAR AND TOTALLED IT! Geez, I wonder!
ARGH.
Alright, I had to let out some aggervation... I feel better now... I will post pictures of my new car as soon as I get the money to buy it. I hope everyone is doing better than I am right now. Other than dealing with the insurance company. I am fine!
LOVE
Christine
