Batman - The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
I'm a major Batman fan.
I've watched movies, comics animated series, TV series, fanfiction, games...
A movie with a Batman in it can not be bad.
That being said, it can be not good.
I have a couple of head-canons for Batman. This meshed with all of them.
As the fitting end to Nolan's head-canon trilogy it works. It's actually a very good story he told.
If one wanted to actually experience what Batman is all about? Not so much.
TGWTG reviews says practically all - The Dark Knight Rises.
The main problem is the silly plot I just can't wrap my head around.
How on Earth does the destruction of Gotham saves civilization, world, whatever...
The basic premise is so implausible that I'd probably abandon reading a fic with it.
Plot is very predictable, although acting is good.
Hathaway did as well as I hoped, although I feel like she was playing a femme fatale, yes, but not Catwoman.
The new origin story, and name, for Robin/Nightwing - Blaah.
In a nutshell, glad I went to see it. Second movie was far better.
And who and when is taking another shot at Batman movies? Anyone....?
