Dad is scheduled to have surgery Friday the 25th. It was the soonest that could be managed as the doctor wanted the assist of another specific ENT surgeon. He will be having a large mass removed from his neck and jaw. The biopsy results, while not positive, could not guarantee a definite negative for cancer since only very small areas were sampled of the large mass. It's a strange thing, anyway, since it just appeared in December and didn't respond to any medications.
The most worrisome part is Dad being put under anesthesia with his very severe emphysema. Sometimes it's good to be in the business 'cause Mom and I are familiar with all the staff who will be involved. They also know we will be hovering and watching like hawks.
Dad put on the soulful puppy dog eyes and said he would feel much better about things if I would make him a pot roast and mashed potatoes dinner before surgery. :snerk: He'll try anything for homemade mashed potatoes.
I'll be on and off, but I'm not really in a good frame of mind for editting and whatnot.
