Still here...mostly
I haven't disappeared. Honest. I don't have a day off until the day *after* Christmas. Yep, I have to work Christmas Day. Yep, I know it sucks to be me at times. This is one of them. LOL.
Steven's braces are repaired. I no longer have the urge to headhunt a 7th grader. My Alzheimer's patients are all acting crazy as all hell. Although most of them don't realize that it is the holidays there must be some vibe in the air that is getting them all wound up. My own anxiety and stress level are so high that my appetite is quite dead and I've lost about 8 lbs. in less than two weeks. All hail the Shredded Nerves Diet!
Still, all the Christmas lights are lovely and the kids are wildly joyful now that school is out for 17 days. Oh, to be a kid again!
I've almost finished a short Reno/Cloud ficlet from the Sunday morning prompt. Because I can never avoid it what started out as straight fluff took an angsty turn. It's those boys, I swear.
Lastly, I was wonderfully surprised by the deluge of Christmas cards this year with the added bonus of totally unexpected gifts. I can't tell you how each new surprise made my day. Sorry that I'm too tired to HTML properly, but seraphim_grace, my new coffee mug has been delivering my much needed caffeine boost every morning at 4:30 a.m. Those lovely chocolates are hidden from hubby and the kids. Mine! All mine, I tell you. Talitha_X, that gorgeous bookmark is happily holding place in my latest book. Guilty Red and Yohjideranged, thank you so much for the new CD mix.
