I guess I'm one of the few people in the world who never even tasted a cigaret - and the reason why is solely for fear that if I did I would get hooked.

But that won't keep me from wishing you all the best of luck, and I really hope that you do give it a try. I'm definitely not a non-smoking fanatic in any way, but I have seen the difference in those of my friends that did manage to quit, and it's really worth the struggle!

I totally understand your nervousness and I wish I could do more than just write something here to encourage you and offer you support. I know depression is nothing to take lightly in any way, and I know how hard a struggle getting out of any addiction can be, especially in combination with depression (personal experience) but I really think you should give it a try anyways. It is so worth it! Easy for me to say, I know, and I really wish I could do more than just that. I want to hug you and reassure you and talk and help you go through with it! I sincerely wish you all the best! *offers the biggest fluffiest bear-hugs known to man*

Thanks! You know, I started at 18, but I really can't remember *why*. It probably had something to do with the summer job I had and all of my coworkers smoking. Pfft, such a bad reason.
