What's in a name? Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet? Of course not. A rose wouldn't smell like a rose; it would be a violet or a chrysanthemum or a daisy and smell like said flower. Why is blood called blood instead of something else? The item doesn't change regardless of the name given to it, yet the definition is altered. Even the name of a person can sort of affect how they grow up. When you hear a certain name, an image typically comes to mind, and there's really nothing you can do about that. That's one reason that sometimes I despise being named Mikko. There are far too many. Most of the time I don't give a fuck though because people usually address me by a nickname. They seem to fit me better. That's also why we were not rushing a name for our princessa. Why make a hurried decision on something that can't be changed (or at least can't be changed without adequate cash)? Naming songs is a lot different. Typically you just go with a line from the song or something that conveys the overall theme. Naming an album is a bit trickier. It's easiest to just be self-titled or name it after a song. We've never done that with HIM though. It's hard enough to think of something good, but to get 4 other stubborn guys to agree with you is even harder. Thankfully, we've never really killed each other over an album name.
Love Metal was easy enough to name. The name reflects the music, and we've always agreed on the 'love metal' genre title.
Speaking of Love Metal, only about 24 hours to ago. These are the anxious hours, anticipating the release. I'm going to try not to get too antsy...but I'll probably fail.
