Wintertime is here...
So...an update while I sit at work and do nothing because I just finished a major exam and there's no way I'm doing school work with my brain fried. Yes, it was tax.
I'm still waiting to hear from Deloitte - the office visit went really well, but I'm not sure if I want the internship because it's tax. Then again, it is living in Chicago for the summer and getting paid. So of course I do want it.
E&Y put me up in the W hotel on the lakeshore, and took me to the Grand Lux Cafe for dinner. I thought the office visit went really well - enjoyed the people and the atmosphere. Unfortunately, they emailed me the next day to say that they didn't have any openings. :-( I really wanted that one....
Anyway...just trying to figure out what to do next summer. If I'm not in Chicago with Deloitte or MB financial bank, I have a few options. 1) Stay in Troy and try to find a summer job, 2) find a place to stay in Bloomington and work at the library, or 3) move out to Colorado for the summer (involves both finding a job and a place to stay). We'll see what happens with Deloitte first.
I'm starting to regret living in an old house. The I-house is a gorgeous old mansion with huge rooms and lots of wood....but it's drafty (freezing cold last night) and I've seen quite a few bugs in my room. Icky.
That's about all for now.....going to Florida for Thanksgiving, going to see Wicked (!!!!) on Wednesday, and writing a paper this weekend. Fun times.
