Well, I bought FFVII:DoC today, since it was dirt cheap and used (Yay! Dirt cheap and used! :D)
...Actually, it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I wish the controls were a little tighter, if anything. Other than that, it's decent gameplay-wise, plays like a FPS though...it's mostly in third-person which makes aiming a pain in the butt for otherwise surprisingly enjoyable gameplay. Production-wise, reminds me of Parasite Eve more than a Final Fantasy, and...I LIKE IT! Even the music's kinda more PE than FF.
