This was cute! I think what I loved most is your portrayals of Lily and James; from the beginning you just really drew me in. And the skinny dipping scene was perfectly done. =)

I want to grow old with you, and watch our grandchildren play on the front lawn."

I'm sorry, that's all I can think about. Mystery author, you wrote a very good fic, and I know there are plenty of other things to say about it, but now I just want to curl into a little ball and sob. They never got to see their grandkids. D:

(Also, mods, um, every time I try to submit my poll answers, it tells me I'm not permitted to see the poll, and I don't think it's recording my responses. :( )

Thank you! Part of what draws me in to James/Lily is the tragedy surrounding their romance; mostly their intense passion, and the fact that they had so little time together to explore it. I am so pleased that you enjoyed it. :)

I really liked the writing in this. The descriptions were really good, and I could really see everything. I thought you had a really good grasp on the characters, especially James. Good job!

I think this felt very real and sweet, and you set the mood well. I could envision the scene as it played out. Very nice use of the prompt.

This is such a beautiful moment in time, a respite from the war for Lily and James, made bittersweet (for me, at least) by the knowledge of how brief it really is.

Yes, exactly. The fact that their romance was so brief, and so full of tragedy, is one of the reasons why I love this pairing so much. Thank you!
