Wow. What an excellent use of the prompt. I loved the lyrical language used here, and the way the fic was divided. The ending was perfect. I enjoyed everything about this. Wonderful job!

Thanks! I don't know what it was about this prompt, but it just pulled whole strands of description right out of my head. :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the story.

I really liked your use of the prompt, all the metaphor and imagery. You did a great job of using the language to show rather than tell. And, you used colour magnificently, something one can't often say about a work of fiction. I also really liked the way you wrote the boys. Sometimes, when one reads MWPP, they get kind of a girl-y vibe to them (probably because lots of fanfic writers are girls), but your boys really seemed like boys. So, good job with that. :)

Excellent! My boys are boys. :D JK did it so well, we can only hope to echo her awesomeness. Cheers for reading this, and I'm really glad you liked it. :)

Thank you so much! I love the languagey aspects of writing - I love to shove words about, really - and I'm very happy you enjoyed the product here. :)

Very well done, mystery author whom I am almost positive I know the identity of!

There are so many little turns of phrase, like "aching heart pinned right beneath the badge" and "heading Evans-ward" that I just found so perfect. ^_^ And the interaction between James and the rest of the Marauders (this is a good group for that, but I guess it's because we all love the Marauders so), especially the easy silence between James and Sirius.

And I love that just when James was about to give up, his persistence finally paid off!

I'm so glad you liked the story!! Out of curiosity, did you guess my authorly identity correctly? Because if not, I'd love to know who you thought I sounded like. :) Thanks so much for reading this.

Actually, no, I didn't guess your identity right. D: I thought you were ravenne_crion. Dangit!

It's still a great fic, though!

(WTF what are all these sudden new commenting options?? I DO NOT LIKE THEM TAKE THEM AWAAAAAAY.)

Oh goodness! Options galore. Didn't even see them until I clicked around, but aye aye aye, would not want to post this from my FB by accident!

I shall take it as high praise that you thought me to be ravenne_crion. :D

I liked how well the prompt read through this story. I also like how you applied the mood of the prompt to both James and Lily. Predominantly James of course, but I loved the exchange:

By the time Evans pulled back, James had almost started to believe that he was being kissed. By her. By her.

“That’s what you want?” His voice was even rougher than before, but James found he couldn’t quite bring himself to care.

She didn’t even blush. “That’s what I want.”

“What about last night?”

“Didn’t know what I wanted. Not until this morning. Not until… until…”

Very well written! It also fit Lily perfectly, I think.

You also have a very nice way with word choice (you use quirky words for descriptions, in a unique way that I really like)- it's kind of difficult to describe, but I just wanted to mention that I enjoy it. No nice work!

Thanks very much! I love playing with words (aka 'is a giant nerd') and I'm really glad you liked the results. :) I just love James and Lily as characters. You can do so much with them!
