I felt so sorry for James. Everything seemed to be going wrong for him, but it all worked out in the end.

That was great! Funny and fast-paced and all-going-wrong - sounds a bit like my life. I really enjoyed it - though the prompt wasn't really to my taste. Cigarettes = not cool, but the actual story was fun. :)

This actually made me laugh out loud - it's perfect James. PERfect!

I enjoyed this, James' desperately racing against time and situations to get to Lily, and how perfect was it that Snape was there at the table - who else to piss off James quite so effectively.
I love that Lily isn't perfect, that she lies and is a bit of a control freak. Makes her much more of a person ;o)

Your characterisation of the characters here was spot on. I love that you had Lily admitting her faults, and being so open with James. I was torn between cringing and laughing at all the trouble James had to go to to get to Hogwarts and see Lily. Great fic ♥
