When lily read this to me, I immediately had a connected thought: This may put a foot in the door for polyamorous marriages.

Ironic, considering how hard they're fighting to shut down the polygamist Mormon splinter groups.

But that's a different thing -- and many people will scream and rant about either side of it.

Even this part, in lily's quote, will have the fundies in arms. The idea of poly marriage - "An assault on the institution of marriage!!!" - would be gasoline on the fire.

Still -- why not? Is there one good reason?
