[Pause. Lily swings her fist into her mirror again and it shatters. Satisfied, she exits the bathroom to climb on her bed and pick glass fragments from her knuckles.]
[B melts down and takes his private superhighway (aka. the vents) over to Lily's room. He pours out of the vent near the floor and reforms on his feet, standing straight, looking at the wreckage.]
[The mechanic runs his hand through his blonde hair and tsk's under his breath. He brushes past her and digs under the sink until he finds the first aid kit and beckons her over.]
It's too bad you can't melt like me, Lily. Come here, okay?
[Lily glares at him from behind her bangs, viciously pulling a shard of glass from her index finger. She's not interested unless your name is Even Worth.]
[B smiles a bit at her and melts his hand overtop of hers. It's warm and gooshy, but he uses his liquid metal form to pull all the glass from her hand at once. He extends the glob of silver at the end of his arm over the trash and expels the shards into the garbage, then reforms his hand.]
[That smile does nothing for her. She stares at B coldly, unblinkingly. Lily can feel her heartbeat in her cheek, under B's hand, and all she can think about is how he's not Even.]

At least, Lily would have thought it was cool, in the Before Times. Now it's just the norm.

[B crouches down in front of her and cups her face in his warm hand, giving her what he hopes is a comforting smile.]
But nothing. It doesn't feel like it right now and I don't blame you. Losing family and loved ones is the worst pain.
