Hey, my pink tank top that was fading just came out of the wash more pink than it went in.. yay. Granted, my dad's previously white Pilsner shirt is now pink. It fortunately isnt' one of his favourite, but it has a story... he recieved it at a bar when some lady got very excited and ripped his tank top off (they told him he HAD to wear a shirt and then gave him one to wear)... was rather embarassing. I was driving him home.
I sometimes think I might be more mature than my 43 year old father. I can get myself up on time for school while his dear old 81 year old mother comes to wake him up for work, and the other day in Costco he went to the bathroom while I shopped with the list and he came back with a set of two super soakers, extremely excited about it. He wanted my sister and I to fill them up and then he'd send my brothers outside and we'd drench them and he'd laugh himself silly.... fortunately my sister had to leave right when we got home so we didn't do that and the super soakers are safely in my room as a reward for my brothers helping me to clean up the yard some time... maybe tomorrow, though we're having a 60th wedding anniversary party for my beppe and pake and I'm exhausted after waitressing for nine hours today.
House to myself though, yay!
I'm going to tidy up my room and read some more of 'The Children of Hurin', MY treat from Costco. I'm already on chapter three after only having it for a little more than a day... and I managed to finish a novel in a week last week. 'Holy Fools' by Joanne Harris, very good, I recommend it highly... it has gypsies, dwarves, nuns, wicked priests who aren't as they appear... and very deep character studies of men and women and of certain sorts of relationships that develop between travelling gypsies and women in the seclusion of nuneries.
