Hrmm...
well Claire has gone home and i'm here alone yet again. she came up to visit me this weekend which was an unexpected yet welcome surprise. i guess Naren had Scott coming down for the weekend and since the boys were having their own weekend get together we figured we may as well reconnect too and screw them. so she came up thursday night which was awesome, i had to help her find her way here since her GPS system told her that she should have found my grandma's house about three hundred yards before she actually got here. i proceeded to introduce her to the musical masterpiece that is Across the Universe and we ended up calling it an early night since we had both had long days. Friday i had class which was great since i was in no mood to go back to clinic for another day of torture and this week was just... ugh... let's leave it at that. yet another reason why i am not staying in this state, the hospitals aren't the greatest. i'm not saying the hospital itself but the staff, i don't really fit in.
anyway, after class i had my doctor's appointment and then we went to Shaw's where i ended up spending almost $100 on food which included all the stuff needed for our salmon dinner and a bunch of stuff for my lunches and just my general enjoyment since i found out recently i'm getting a good chunk of change back from taxes and i can actually afford to buy food for once. yay me! after our amazing dinner and a few good glasses of wine claire and i indulged in the rest of Across the Universe and a few episodes of Six Feet Under before finally passing out. today we got up relatively late and had a wonderful bagel breakfast. we then proceeded to search out the rather large health food store my mom said was up by Dartmouth. i actually behaved myself and didn't spend a whole lot after nearly breaking the bank at Shaw's. but i did see a lot of things i wanted in the future if i make my way up there again after class. my favorite was the fact that they had chunks of turbinado sugar for a hell of a lot cheaper than the other little health food store near my school which sells it in packets in a box. so i'll be going there in the future.
the other great thing we found was a nice selection of sushi which we picked for our lunch and was totally deeeelish! Claire ended up leaving around 4 and now i'm here all alone again, i'm a bit sad but i figure i've got another 9 weeks of this crap left and then classes start up again and i can at least have some sort of life again. even though i'm not the most popular person in my class i really don't care at this point. i don't need anyone to be my friend, i want to get my degree, pass my boards and get the hell out of here. as long as i get good grades and get out of this school i'm fine. most of the kids in my class are still in high school mode which i find incredibly annoying so it's fine with me if they think i'm a dork. not like i care. i don't need their approval.
annnnnyyyway. i need to finish this thing up and get back to my movie, my gramma and i are watching RENT since there is absolutely nothing good on tv tonight and she hasn't seen it yet. after that i think i'll head to bed. i'm so tired all of a sudden. Claire's right, we are getting old!! LOL!
