Hey Pretty Pretty

Just for reference for future Christmas/ b-day/ what ever other reason you would have to give me a present presents. The following things are good ideas for things to give me:

1. Things I need and/or will probably use on a regular basis. Examples: CD-Rs, a book shelf, warm boots, a paper shredder, a plastic pitcher, a candle... you get the idea.

2. Things I have asked for: either thins I have specifically said I want this for such and such holiday or have mentioned as something I really want in passing at some time in the recent past. Ex. a skateboard, specific books and dvd's etc...

3. Things that have personal signifigance: a cd you made or something that I connect with you or vice versa.

4. Bling Bling: translated as shiny object in the form of jewelry. Doesn't need to be expensive or overly flashy, I just like fun jewelry.

Things to not get me... ever.
1. a 12 inch porcelin doll wearing a wedding dress (I know I have a bunch from when I was 12 but I'm not really into them anymore)

2. A Thomas Kincade calendar. Do I really have to explain this one?

3. Christan books with the workbook that goes along with the book.

4. A scarf with a dolphin print

5. Elephant stuffed animals (I know I love elephants but I have like 10 of these and I don't really need any more).

6. a professional pedicure

* All gifts mentioned were actualy gifts from family or friends this year excluding the pedicure which was almost a gift last year.

I don't mean to be bitchy or ungrateful, but I collect enough crap on my own. I don't need to accumulate more of it frm family at Christmas time when everyone is short of money and I am short of patience from pretending to like all of the crap I am getting. It would be better for everyone if you just saved your money instead of buying me something I would never want or need. It's just a waste on everyone's part. Get me a card and write a personalized note if you really want me to know you were thinking about me.

Other than that complaint, and a couple I will mention in a minute, my break was perfect. I got to spend a lot of time with all of my friends at home. I got to see Life Aquatic and Phantom of the Opera. It was really good to hang out with Megan and Bobby so much. I could not have asked for more. Apparently I confused the guys by showing up with straight hair which I don't really understand but it's starting to be a frequent thing with people I haven't seen in a long time. Christmas itself was a blast. I spent the morning with my fammily then went to Hooters with Bobby and Megan where we had the worst service ever but it is something I will always remember, then went to the movies.

I got to see Jason twice (once on the way out to KC and once on the way back). That, of course, always makes me happy. Last night I went to dinner at this amazing Japanese restaurant with Dayna and her friends. I am addicted to sushi now, I can't stop thinking about it. I also tried Sake and met Dayna's friends who were a lot of fun. I hope I get to see them again soon. Day and I also watched Love Actually (of course!) This morning I went to a little diner with Day and Ivy for brunch and then walked around downtown Columbia. Whenever I go back to visit I miss Columbia so much. I don't think I will ever move back but I'm learning what a great place it is to visit. I left Dayna and that is when the bad stuff started to happen.

I was driving on 270 and I swear I almost died. This blue not quite station wagon/ not quite SUV thing cut me off to the point where I had to slam on my breaks anyway, but then he slammed on his breaks as well so I had to brake even harder because there was a road construction a-frame sign thing in the middle of the lane and some crazy guy running through traffic to pick it up. I was driving in the left lane and had to majorly swerve to the left to avoid both the car-thing in front of me and the sign. Normally there is a huge concrete barrier right along the side of the road but luckily where I was there was a curb the width of a lane for us to cut into. I was so scared I had to pull over and make sure nothing had happened to my car.
