Acting Update
Okay, it's a new year, and this year I'm going to try to hit more auditions than I did last year. I have more vacation time to devote to filming.
Yesterday I went to MPI's (Motion Picture Institute) mass audition. Their students are all working on films, and they need actors for them. This was set up kind of like a job fair. I signed in, got my "mug shot", then got to look through a bunch of sides. I got to choose what sides I was interested in reading for. Each one had a number at the top telling me which station to go to. There was 12 stations with 3-5 directors at each. I ended up reading for about 8 different parts before I finally got over-whelmed and took my leave. Mostly I was starting to get worried about the amount of people asking me if I was available Thursday for a callback. There's only so many hours in an evening.
So far, I've been contacted by two of the directors for callbacks. I'll be back there on Thursday. They're only student films, but it's something to put on my resume, and add to my experience. I think I'm doing alright so far this year.
