Life has been bizarre and busy, so I have not had time for Reverend Foster. But a quick update, just the same.

Today I worked at the visitor's center, selling tickets for entry. There were a few people who were quite amused, having never seen me out of costume before (have I mentioned we get a lot of regulars?). Two of my favorite members came today, a mom and young teenage daughter. We always get into really great, interesting conversations, and I like them a lot as people. They ended up in my line, and were as shocked and excited to see me as I was them. The daughter just kept commenting "Your hair! I've never seen it down before! It's always in a cap and I had no idea it was that long!" no time to chat, but the interaction amused me greatly. The fact that there are people I like and interact with regularly, but have no idea what I look like is pretty amusing!

My hair has gotten long and impossible again. I was going to cut it, but I am feeling appreciative of it since there are two people in my life with cancer. My mother, who cracks me up, is starting chemo soon. She swears that if she is one of the few who does not lose her hair, she is going to shave it off and blame the chemo, because she has always wanted to try being bald. I was in stitches when she told me this! I am very thankful for her and the rest of my family for our sense of humour in times of crisis!

mom love, life
