Okay, over the years I've gotten used to slash combo terms such as Viggorlijah and even Bagginsshield, as awful as that is, but tonight for the first time I saw... Gigolas.
Gigolas?
I can't handle that. No, I don't read them, but I can't handle hearing that word, either.
So I read that at the end of BOFA, Thranduil apparently tells Legolas to go look after the "son of Arathorn"---a "young ranger." I can't find out exactly what he says. I LOVE that Aragorn gets a gratuitous mention! PJ, I'll always adore ya. Even if your Aragorn is the wrong age.
I won't get a chance to see the movie soon. Someone please, pretty please, report back to me on that scene---every little gritty detail? Please?
In other news, just finished another book edit today... whew, glad to get that one down. We just put our Christmas tree up Sunday. I did spend a bit of moolah for Christmas and bought myself an antique floor lamp, which hasn't gotten here yet, and some odds and ends for sewing, decorating, etc. One of the items I bought are some roses from a place online that I'm going to use in a centerpiece. They're very interesting---they are REAL roses that have been preserved with glycerin so that they will last practically indefinitely. But, they look real. So real that you cannot tell they were not just fresh-picked. And yet they'll last nearly forever, kept away from humidity and bright sunlight. I now will have to go buy more!
That's all for now... more later! And yes, I am still and ever and always trying to get caught up here. It's hopeless, isn't it?
