A bone to pick!
Well, finalists are listed for the Mithril Awards, and I have a bone to pick with some of the entries . . .
At least one is a work-in-progress . . . and while it's certainly worthy, I was under the impression that WIPs were not eligible. If I'd known they *were* eligible, some of my nominations might have been different. There were some lovely stories I wanted to nominate but didn't, simply because they're WIPs.
Some wonderful stories on there now, but boy, there sure are a lot of fantastic ones missing. All I have to say is that Baranduin is in *two* categories (yay!!!!) so I'm hoping that will up her chances . . . to have an interspecies fic win would be quite fulfilling. And she so deserves it . . .
Notice there's little if any h/c there either, unless it's a Frodo/Sam . . . little or no non-slash h/c, either. All right, I'm not griping, but I'm sitting here thinking of some of the most *wonderful* authors who are missing and durn it, it makes me mad.
