I felt in need of a meme. I'm basing it solely on the LOTR movies and not the books, however, because answering the questions for the books would be . . . too confusing, given all the questions about pairings and such that don't necessarily exist in the books.

1. The first character I fell in love with: In the movies, it was Frodo. The minute he popped up on the screen, it was a life-changing experience. Truly!
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: In the movies, Aragorn. I didn't adore Aragorn from the first except with regard to his relationship with Frodo. In other words, it was all about Frodo. Repeated viewings of TTT changed that. I'm now all about the ranger as well. In fact, I really can't decide which one I adore more---Frodo or Aragorn. *can't decide* *can't decide*
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Boromir. Oh, I like Boromir just fine, but I'm not a huge fan of Boromir-centric stories.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Frodo. No, seriously, there are some real movie!Frodo haters out there. I have several in my own family.
5. The character I would shag anytime: Aragorn
6. The character I'd want to be like: Arwen. Immortal and beautiful beyond comparison would be nice. Oh, you mean mentally? Aragorn. Elven-wise, stoic, kind . . .
7. The character I'd slap: Sam. I will preface this by saying that I love book!Sam, and I also really like movie!Sam. But I detest so many fanfic!Sams. So often he's belligerent in his care of Frodo and that drives me batty. It's those times that I want to slap him.
