Title: Jigsaw
Pairing: Rodney/Radek (Gen, possibly)
Rating: All
Disclaimer: I do not, in any way, own Rodney or Radek or Stargate Atlantis.
Author's Notes: This was written in response to a challenge set by rosewildeirish at my request for a challenge. She requested Rodney and Radek bickering over a puzzle in the lab. This is a short piece, written quickly in response.
Summary: See notes.

"Honestly, Radek, have you never put a puzzle together before? You start with the frame and then fill in the rest." Rodney fit some edge pieces together and then began to mill through the large stack of puzzle pieces for more.

"Rodney, these pieces go together. Should I just leave them alone and forget about them while you sort out all the edge pieces?" Radek added a sixth puzzle piece to one of the clumps he'd started to put together. Rodney reached for one of the edge pieces, brushing one of Radek's clumps apart. "Rodney!"

"If you would wait and help me with the edge first that wouldn't have happened. I wonder what this'll do when its finished.."

"Perhaps it is only to drive one another insane," Radek muttered as he shoved a few edge pieces at Rodney. Their first free hour in the past two days and Rodney was insisting on assembling an Ancient jigsaw puzzle. He cupped his hands over his pieces and glared when Rodney reached for a corner.

"I doubt that. Why would the Ancients create a jigsaw puzzle? It must be a sort of crystal or something... ha, there." Rodney gestured to the two edges he'd managed to finish and connect.

"Wonderful, Rodney," Radek said in monotone as he pieced two of his clumps together. "I still think this is just a recreational toy and that there is no reason why we can't let the anthropologists play with it."

"You don't have to stay," Rodney muttered. Radek rolled his eyes.

"If I leave, you will pout and the lab will be angry with me again."

"I don't pout." Radek stared at Rodney and then shook his head; it wasn't worth the argument.

"Here, another edge." He handed the piece to Rodney, allowing his fingers to brush lightly along Rodney's palm.

"After we finish the puzzle." Radek shrugged and fit the largest of his clumps against one of Rodney's edges.
