This is certainly ... well, it's interesting. I can say that much. How does a person even begin to write a journal when they're technically dead? How do you introduce yourself even?

"Hi, my name is Lily Potter and sixteen years ago, I died."

I had a son and a husband. I love them both more than I can even begin to explain. My son is doing fine. He's doing just fine. Or he was until he lost Sirius and now he's slipping away. I can see it.

God, this isn't the best beginning, is it? Okay, so my name is Lily Potter, we've covered that much. I was raised a Muggle, I don't have any wizard blood in me. My sister Petunia hated when I got my letter for Hogwarts. She thought the entire world would figure out how weird I was and she'd be weird by association.

I went there and I met James. I met James. And, of course, Peter, Remus and Sirius. I can't say that I think much of Peter anymore. Not after ... God, I just can't think about that. About all the time Sirius lost because of him. About everything James and I missed out on because of him.

Anyway, my name is Lily. I know my son is here somewhere. And my husband. I know that I miss them.

'Lo all. I've just realized now how hard it is to write Lily since she's dead. Lily Potter is from Harry Potter. She's Harry's mother, obviously. Majority of people from the fandom have been writing post-book five, so I thought I'd stick with that time line, even though she is dead.

My personal journal is bohemian__storm. I just wanted to commend rohandove and all her co-mods (I don't know all their user names, sorry) for the amazing job they're doing with this. :)
