If you could have dinner with any figure in history, who would it be and why?
I thought about this for a very long time before answering. There are obvious answers, of course. James. Harry. Remus. Sirius. My parents. Dumbledore. Maybe even You-Know-Who. Ask him why he did what he did. Why I'm dead. Not that I think he'd have a decent answer, but it would certainly be interesting to hear it from his mouth.
James, Harry and my parents for obvious reasons. Mostly just because I miss them. I miss them terribly.
Remus to ... oh, I don't know. Thank him, I think. For taking care of Harry. He's doing a brilliant job. He should know that.
Sirius just to make sure he got a square meal. And I miss him terribly. Maybe to thank him as well. He was so good to us. He suffered years of Azkaban at the hands of Peter Pettigrew because he was trying to avenge us.
Which sort of brings me to the person I'd pick to have dinner with. Peter. Yeah, believe it or not, I'd have dinner with the man responsible for the downfall of my family and my friends.
A nice dinner over which I would ask him why. Because while You-Know-Who probably couldn't say anything more than 'because I can', I think Peter has a reason. And I want to know what it is. I really am curious.
Was it worth it?
A civil meal over which I'd get the answers to my questions.
And maybe I'd put poison in the food.
