I've just watched the most disturbing 'documentary'
You know, how sometimes you're so disturbed by something that you just can't stop looking?
I just watched a documentary on More 4. It's called Pussies Galore and it's about people who love cats. A bit too much.
Woman number one is your typical crazy cat lady. She runs a cat sanctuary in Wales and has 83 cats. The term 'cat sanctuary' implies that it's some sort of charity, but it's actually a house full of cats.
Woman number two is obsessed with her long haired cats. She has one called Mr Darcy. They filmed her giving a rather disgruntled Mr Darcy a bath, talking about what sort of man he'd be, then spending an insane amount of time blow drying him, powdering him and doing his 'make-up'.
Woman number three has seven hairless cats. She takes them for walks in a child's pushchair. She dresses them up in strange outfits. She takes them for nights out at the pub. And she has a breeding room for them at home because she wants kittens. She's tried to make it romantic.
I think I need to scrub my eyes, then find something pretty to look at. Or some sane people to talk to.
