winter holidays~~ i miss my friends!
It's holidays already and I realized that I forgot to write since 2 weeks or so...
well Aines and I went away together, so I guess I'm excused!
We made a trip to Barcelone... it's still warm in the western counties, compared to here at least...
we went by train and it was looong a journey... but luckily enough we met interesting people! Old Carrera for example, an old unknown writer who lived the second World War and told us a lot about himself. Or the young Leila and her mum Gracia... who made us wonderful Paella!!! Or also the not-that-handsome-because-I-don't-like-the-soutern-type José and Patrick who showed us around and introduced us to their friends... who are countless and have too complicated or numerous names to count them up all...
We had as always, lots of chaos... first, the hotel hadn't got our request for the room... so we found ourselves without room. Luckily enough, people in Western Counties are very helpful when in need! The hotel owners were confused in excuses and to make out their mistake, we ended up sleeping in their private house... well...uhm... the grandmother cooked for us and finally it was more like a host family afterwards, because they refused to be paid afterwards and made us promise to come back to their house! I'll never forget the taste of Santo' grannys churros!
There were many other adventures... and I won't count them all up here, I should have done it earlier.... ahr, I'm no good!!!
Christmas we spent here at home, everyone in his family of course. Dee's and my family always celebrates together, so this year also we had the big family meal together.
In fact, it's a complicated story, but her and my family are somehow related. And as our christmas parties are HUGE, well...
everyone goes to the Family's elder house, which lies in the Norman County, close to the sea yet on the country side. Dee's family is related to mine by my mum's side, but their bond is pretty tight and though they aren't that close family, we spend Christmas Day celabrations with A LOT of family members... far ones and close ones...
Anyways, I was so happy to see them all again.. most of them my aunt and my uncle, but also my cousins and little-cousins.
Dee's cousins are nearly all female, mine nearly all male... it's fun to make them dizzy with love stories... haha...
and telling the little ones stories of the Elder Dragons, the Yellow Bears and the Youngest Deers... these are stories my family traditonnally tells since ages... well there are many of them, but these are some.
On Christmas eve, we all go to mass and then have an Christmas Eve Meal which is short and light compared to Christmas Day Meal, the day after... on the 25th, we wake up before sunset, and everyone (well only the kids, but we're still kids, are we?) runs down to the huge christmas tree and see our presents...
Then it's time for christmas morning breakfast (uhm,... christmas pie!) and I went out to the icy white forest have a walk with my beloved cousins... until afternoon we stay outside, until the many guests for Christmas Day Meal, under which Dee, arrive.
Well, the christmas day meal is so much!
After that, the big house suddenly seems so silent!
I stayed at the Elder House for more 4 days and came home today!
Tomorrow, I'll see Aines, Darwin and the others again! I can't wait for it! It's Aines' birthday!
And after that, New Year's Eve!
