Judy Judy is basically the definition of me. I don't know what that means, but I'm pretty sure it's true. Not a day goes by where I'm not listening to/watching/laughing at this woman, and I would be a shell of a person if she had never existed.
McToole Ah, I remember the sweet, sweet days of 1998-1999 when everyone in the Laverne & Shirley community hated Annette O'Toole. But in the past few years, I've discovered that Michael McKean and Annette O'Toole are a pretty nifty couple. They write and sing songs together, and they complain about dog hair on velvet Scrabble bags on Christmas day. And they're obsessed with each other, which is adorable.
Liza LIZA. MAY. My favorite Garland spawn, and my favorite entertainer of this day and age. The woman is sweet and hilarious and can put on a hell of a show. I've seen her in concert 3 times, which seems impossible to me, because I still feel like that awkward pre-teen who complained for years about how she'd never get to see her live because she lives in Delaware, and nothing happens to people in Delaware (boy, how I was wrong!).
Laverne & Shirley THIS SHOW. It is ridiculous as sin, but oh God, how I love it. I first fell in love with this show in 1998, and then it sort of... went away for a while, partially because it stopped airing on TV, and partially because The Golden Girls/Designing Women/The Mary Tyler Moore Show decided to re-enter my life and took it's place. BUT WHATEVER - 2004 came along, and I became completely re-obsessed. It's special to me not only because I love it so much, but it came to me at a time when my sister was going off to college and I was suddenly left bored, alone, and sisterless. They were my faux sisters for a while. So yeah. Laverne has always been my favorite, but as I got older, I started realizing how epic the awkward relationship between Laverne & Lenny is. So I fangirl that mess pretty hard.
Delaware Hi, I live here. It's tiny and extremely boring for the most part, but I love it. I'm lucky enough to have homes in both Wilmington and Rehoboth, so during the summer, I basically live at the beach. We used to have a place in Lewes, but... that went away, so now we have a place in Rehoboth, which is about 5 minutes away from Lewes. “Slower Lower” (the beach-area of Delaware) feels more like my home than Wilmington, and I LOVE it down there. If I'm having a bad day, I can just drive to the beach and collect my thoughts and relax. If I want to stroll around and window shop and chill, I can go into Lewes. If I want to go to a louder, more fun, party town, I can go to Rehoboth or Dewey. I sometimes think about how much I'd love to live in NYC or... somewhere else... but... I'm obsessed with where I live, and I could never leave for good.
