I have nothing to say. But I want you to know that I screamed with joy when I saw this picture pop up on Twitter. I'm basically obsessed.
In other news, Anne Hathaway has been cast as Judy in the film and stage adaptations of Get Happy, based on the book by Gerald Clarke. The plus side? Anne Hathaway. The down side? THE MATERIAL. That book is the absolute worst, and if the film is anything like the book, get ready for some porn, ya'll.
I'm excited about Anne - for eons, I've said I wanted her to play Liza in something, because... she resembles Liza. But Judy is the next best thing, I suppose. And she actually really likes her, so at least she'll be going into the project knowing at least a little about Judy. The only problem is is that Anne is 5'8". I'm not really sure how they're going to give a giant the illusion of being under 5 feet, but it will be interesting. I'm interested to see what the rest of the cast will be like... I'll probably be confused with most, if not all, of the cast, but so be it. I'm excited, no matter what. I kinda really want to be a bitch about it and be like UUUUGH NO ONE CAN PLAY JUDY and UUUUGH THIS IS GOING TO BE SO BAD, but... I mean... I've seen Rainbow. And it can't get worse than that. It's impossible. There's going to be a lot of stuff about it that I won't like, and I'm sure they'll portray her in ways that aren't good, and I'm sure it will be over the top. I'm just rambling at this point, but the POINT IS THAT THERE IS NO POINT for now, I'll be excited. If I start to see stuff I don't like, then I'll make my judgements.
