"I wish," Tommy said, "that you'd stop with the kicking, Merton."
Merton's eyes rounded, shining with bewildered innocence. "But Tommy, it was an emergency and the old foot-to-the-groin manoeuvre is a surefire way to get you wolfy in a speedy manner befitting the utmost seriousness of--"
"Merton," Tommy said firmly, "it was a cat."
Butterfly Effect by

“Dad, come on. It was a controlled fire, it's not like I burned the dorm down."
Panic started to rise up in him when his father gave him what he'd come to think of as The Look, and even though he knew better he let the words slip out anyway. "Man, this blows. If Mom was here…"
"Watch your step, young man."
It wasn't The Look this time so much as The Tone that told Merton when to quit. There wasn't much more that his father could do to him at this point, but judging by the look on his face Merton was pretty sure if he tried hard enough he'd come up with something. Besides, there was no telling what they might do to him at that place, and if he couldn't even call his father to complain…well, not that he could really do that anyway. The truth was that as soon as he was gone again his father would forget he even existed, and any problems he had he'd have to deal with on his own.
He was used to it, but that didn't make the thought of the next year any easier. His last year of high school was supposed to be a cake walk - an easy ride, not an entire year of torture designed by sadists. Sadists with no imagination, for that matter. And there was nothing he could do about it; he'd tried everything he could think of to smooth things over, to talk his way out of the exile his father was imposing on him. None of it had worked, of course, and in a few days his freedom would be a distant memory. In fact he was pretty sure his father had been gunning for this for awhile now, just waiting for him to put a foot out of line so he'd have an excuse.
There was only one thing to do. He'd just have to get himself kicked out of the place before he even got a chance to unpack his bags.

The first ever fanfic OR slash I read. Totally defined my views on slash in general. Found in
go_wild, the "big gay teen murderers" livejournal community (which is to say--they love their leopold & leob). Shaun calls Cory at 3:13 in the morning; there's a drug dealer, dead, on the kitchen floor.

Random FandomsIt is what it says it is. Fic in multiple fandoms, including Boy Meets World, Chasing Amy, Bully, Cruel Intentions, Donnie Darko, The Dreamers, Empire Records, The Faculty, Hedwig and The Angry Inch, The Ice Storm, Igby Goes Down, The Lost Boys, Murder by Numbers, Smallville, Velvet Goldmine, The Village, X-men, and Veronica Mars, among others. and A Little Princess, which has to be one of the most odd fandoms ever. i mean-- shirley temple? strange. note: proserpina loves incestfic (yay!)
Land of the Undead PrincessBuffy slash, mostly femslash.
Fixation: The Murder by Numbers Fanfic ArchiveA fairly old archive, mostly Justin/Richard, although I guess there is probably some *shudders* het, since it is the 'fanfic' archive, not the 'slash' archive (sadly). I dont know when it was last updated, but considering the severe lack of Murder by Numbers fic out there (aside from ff.net, which doesnt count cause they hate slashers and smut), this is a pretty good place to start. Multiple Authors.
