The following is the reply that Dr. Bailey sent to me concerning my audition....

Sorry to hear this, I know those letters are hard to receive because they are so blunt and cold. Here is what the faculty wrote on the audition form:

There are five evaluation areas; rhythm, pitch, tone production, basic technique, and general musicianship. Of those, rhythm was the best score and tone production and intonation were the worst. Tone production in this case might have to do with projection because they marked "thin tone" on the form. Intonation almost always has to do with the distance between notes within a melodic line. This is all that is on the form. I hope this helps.

I decided that next year I am going to find a vocal coach to help me prepare for my audition. I am also going to ask at my orientation whether or not I can take music theory if I pass my national. In addition to this, I am going to buy one of the piano books that we use in keyboarding and continiue teaching myself the piano with the help of these books.
