I totally see your point. I mean, I'm not huge on Star Wars, but anything in space is fine by me, but I get it. In a similar vein, my love of Star Trek comes from my inherent love of the cheesy and campy. Though the original series and first movies are 100x more campy than the camp in Wars (Star Trek IV: The One With The Whales), I can't help but love it. There are loads of ST:The Next Generation people that think it's totally stupid and they only acknowledge it existing because it started the whole thing. :|

So I see where you can love something for exactly what it is. I remember enjoying the films while watching them even if they weren't THE BEST MOVIES I HAD EVER SEEN. They were certainly worth a watch, though. I remember digging TPM when I saw it when it came out, especially the aliens and stuff.

The sheer amount of people that love Star Wars is staggering and I don't see why they hate on the prequel saga. You're right, it's just as gooftarded as the old ones, but then shouldn't it be appreciated? I dunno, I think in another 20-30 years, people will look back and love them just as they did with the originals.

I'm not sure I said anything of relevance, but I think I'm validating your point. If you love something, fuck what the fandom says, make it your own C:

:) Thanks! I'm glad you get it. It kind of amazes me how many people don't.

I agree with your 20-30 year prediction. We are visionaries, wooo!
