I'm sitting here waiting to be picked up to go to a friend's surprised bday party and I thought, why not do something I haven't done in ages...post!
So as I write this I'm also watching tv, old music videos, and B2K just came up...woah...I remember loving this song so much. Music is the most awesome thing in the world. That is all I can say about that. Except for link me and or give me music you feel I need in my life.
So guys! I got promoted. I have left my customer representative days behind and now proudly hold the title of Community Relations Liaison. Woot. A big girl job I'm not entirely sure I'm ready for, but in which I've done well these first three weeks. Let's just hope I can handle it. But with the promotion came a hefty pay increase, a change to a 9-6 schedule and car allowance as I will be on the road a lot due to the new job. I'm happy.
Leaving the Call Center has also allowed me to leave him behind. It's surprising how much easier it is to heal your wounds when you don't have to see the person every bleeping day. I've also met someone new, of whom I'll speak nothing of so as not to jinx it.
Life has changed a lot in this past month. It's been frighteningly quick, and I'm loathe to change, but it's been for the better...except the unhealthy eating patterns I've been picking up :P
I don't know what all this will bring, I'm just keeping my mind on it being something positive.
It's brought two new positive things, new friendships and salsa dancing classes!!! I know as a latina woman, a Puertorrican nonetheless! I was inches away from having my Hispanic license revoked for not knowing how to salsa with the best of them. I definitely was able to salsa with the worst, but not the best. But now I can carry my own. Which is NOT to say I can do gagillions of crazy salsa moves but I can move my body right.
And now I am going to throttle my friend for not being here yet....pardon me....
I'm back...that was useless. She's taking her sweet arse time while I melt...it's hot here.
