Ahh... good times! ^^
Omg.. these last couple of days have been so awesome!!
So, on Wednesday, we went to Griffith Observatory! It was pretty interesting! It was a musuem and a planetarium, and there was a huuge telescope! Anyways, the museum was pretty cool! They had lot s of displays and some games!
You could weigh yourself on each planet! And they had this huuuge picture of part of the universe called the 'Big Picture'! It was pretty amazing because even though it was soo huge, it was really only a tiny part of the universe! So on 21 huge steel plates, part of this image was printed on it and mounted on the wall!
And the planetarium show was amazing too! They had a really cool projector and the images were fantastic!
And on Thursday, we went to Disneyland! This was my first time! It really is a very nice place! Even though there were such looong lines, I really enjoyed it! My favourite was the Indiana Jones adventure ride!
And the Finding Nemo Submarine ride was pretty cool too! But seriously the waiting time for that one was about... 2 1/2 hours... plus it's sooo hot here! Too much to handle... but my brother really wanted to go, so we went!
All the parts of Disneyland are amazing! They actually look so fantastic! Like they all fit their themes so well! I loved Fantasyland and Mickey's Toon Town! The cutest ride I went on had to be 'It's a Small World'... although that song is really annoying to me now....
Oh, and the parade was fantastic! I was really excited to see it! There was Beaty and the Beast, Pinnochio, the Little Mermaid, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Their costumes looked so good! But I felt a bit sorry for them... it was a really hot day!
And then, at night, there was this show with Mickey, 'Fantissimo', I think that's how it's spelled. But it was really good to watch! Lots of laser, lights and fireworks! And a bunch of Disney characters came out again! And after that was the fireworks show! It was soo great! Really pretty! I've never seen that many fireworks fired at once! But to do this every single night...Unbelievable...
And on Friday, we went to Universal Studios! This was pretty amazing too! I loved the studio tour! It was really cool to see all those sets! Apparently, they were filming for National Treasure 2~! Ohh Can't wait to see it! We also saw this crash scene from War of the Worlds! It was really a giant mess! Apparently, they actually used an actual plane, whic they broke in half, in the movie!
And it was a pretty fun tour! What with Jaws attacking us, and being in the middle of a subway crash, and being trapped in a mummy's tomb!
And the waiting time for these rides is unbelievable! And yet again, it was a very hot day! And my feet were killing me because of Disneyland the day before! But it was all worth it! I loved the idea of them having fans spraying mist out! It was very refreshing on that hot day!
Ohh, one thing really pissed me off though! For the Jurassic Park ride, we waited about 1 1/2 hours in the line... and right when we were at the front, the ride BREAKS DOWN! So we all had to leave! And then when we went back after 1/2 hour, we had to wait in line again for 1/2 hour! But then again, it was worth the wait! It was a pretty fun ride!
Ohh I really liked the Waterworld show! Although, I didn't get sprayed as much as I wanted to... and I really did want to, because in front of me was one of those things that shoots out flames! This special effects show was pretty funny too! They showed how they make all those different effects in movies!
And finally, today, we went to the beach! Topanga Beach, I think it was called, in Santa Monica! Well, we only went for a couple of hours because first we went to this BBQ party! Well, there was seriously no one my age around... everyone was either in their late 20s and older or like 5... so I just went to go listen to my iPod!
Anyways, at the beach, the water was too cold to go in but I made a bunch of things in the sand! Like a heart, and some weird vampire skull face... Don't ask...
I got new shoes today too! They're soo cute! Apparently, students get 10% off! And they didn't even care that I don't go to school in this country!
I'm reeealy excited about tomorrow! It's the Harry Potter premeire! And I'm going to go to the theater! Maybe I'll get an autograph if I'm lucky! But I'll definitely take loads of pictures! And I want to see the Mugglenet people there too! ^^
