James perked his ears as he followed the faint strains of beautiful piano playing. He tugged his cloak tighter, careful, don’t want detention. The music got louder. It was fast, bouncy, complex. Louder still. The door ahead was propped open, warm light emerging. There, head bowed over a baby grand, was Lily, sheets of red hair flickering in the light and obscuring the visage of the other player. The four hands moved faster than lightning over the ivory keys as James crept closer. With a resounding chord, the music stopped. His lovely Lily laughed. "We’re better than ever, Sev." Damn.
