Smile! Lily Allen's Pregnant!
Suddenly all those threats of early retirement are starting to make sense.
Britpop spark plug Lily Allen has announced that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend of more than a year, building company owner Sam Cooper.
"Lily Allen and Sam Cooper are very happy to confirm that Lily is expecting their first child," her rep said. "Lily's professional commitments will carry on as normal, including a scheduled performance at The Big Chill this weekend."
The 25-year-old "Not Fair" singer is currently three months along, but already showing signs of protectiveness over the bun in her oven, has not revealed an exact due date or gender for the baby.
She has, however, posed for a photo alongside her front page-worthy announcement, labeling the moment "surreal."
Sadly, it was just over two years ago that Allen suffered a miscarriage months after announcing she was expecting a child with Chemical Brother Ed Simons.
Since the tragic incident, Lily has made no secret of her desire to start a family, revving up her biological clock rhetoric in recent months to a near fever pitch.
Now we know why. Congrats, Lily!
