A brief history of religion, as told by AOL user HoneyCrunch9:
And those people happen to be Christians escaping catholic persecution, there was also an Irish tribe that was dated back to the time of the apostles who were firm believers, that also fled to America, and were massacred by the catholic persecutors ... it sounds like you know about religious history but let me refresh, there were two types of believers that were really butting heads it was the Protestants and Catholics the Protestants wanted open beliefs but the Catholics would only accept there own religion...(example)now this all happened in the Holy Roman Empire as king Nero was the worst in my mind, as he would take Christians, and set them on polls in his garden, as they would be drenched in a type of fuel, and would set the Christians on fire to light up his garden ... and that was just one thing he did to Christians, i wont go further. So to make a long story short the Christians were tormented by this, and fled for a new land and found America, but soon they were discovered by the persecutors and more massacres happened before the development of the thirteen colonies by Christopher Columbus who was in fact a believer as well....from Wycliff, to Luther, to Christopher, to G. Washington...etc.(excuse the history lesson)
Yes, the thirteen colonies were founded by Columbus and Nero was Catholic. Oh, and he lived way after the Roman Empire. He was just in hiding.
