The first time Sirius noticed Lily she was in the common room. For Sirius to notice anyone other than his best mates they had to be doing something…strange.
He eyed the redhead as she bounced in her seat, a pot of coffee sat beside a drained cup. She scribbled some notes down on her parchment before glancing up and refilling her cup.
As she reached for the coffee pot Sirius noticed that her hand was shaking. He walked over to her, “Think you’ve had enough.”
Bleary emerald eyes looked up at him, “I’ll tell you when I’ve had enough, Black.”
