guess who i saw yesterday...
so i've been back in the heights for about a week and a half now and i love being home. i've been meeting up with friends, going places, trying different restaurants, and just soaking in the socal sun (i think i'm actually getting a little darker, which is new for me).
however, things did not go very smoothly when i arrived home. i almost did not make it back to ontario on time- since the oakland airport was so packed, i almost missed my flight waiting in lines after lines. but once i got to ontario, i found out, after about an hour of waiting, that my luggage had not made it back. i had to wait until late evening for the airline to deliver my stuff.
on my first few days back, i went to sleep after sunrise and woke up after sunset. it felt nice not to have to do anything for a few days. got to see an advance screening of transformers last monday. awesome movie. go watch it. 4th of july was fun too. had a yummy bbq with friends and watched some neighbors get in some trouble with the cops for using illegal fireworks. started my internship at the law firm last thursday and i can now honestly say that i don't know shit about the legal field. i think i'm irritating my boss for being so slow with research stuff and projects. but hopefully this is normal and i'll learn on the way. memo to self: need to buy more "work clothes."
and oh yeah, i saw the harry potter cast yesterday in hollywood & highland! i just happened to be there with daniel and kaya and saw all the fancy-smancy people rolling out the red carpet, camera, and lights. the insider, et, extra, and e were all there, including staff from the wb and a whole lotta reporters and paparazzi! it was freaking hot and people smell when pushed right against you. i think i might have suffered a mild or mini heat stroke. but after an hour and a half of waiting, i was able to be thisclose to rupert grint, emma watson, and daniel radcliffe. extra's station was right next to where i was standing, so i was able to see them being interviewed and be on camera. exciting, i know! steven cojocaru was there too working for the insider. i think he got a bit pudgier. imelda staunton, who plays professor dolores umbridge, was there also. some of the cast members from heroes was there too, including hiro and that guy who plays the cop who can read minds. there were probably more people, but i couldn't stand the heat anymore so i left before the premiere was over. definitely gonna see the movie when it comes out midnight on tuesday. =D
