we're all spoiled

Americans are so spoiled. One of the members of my community complains of having to "penny pinch" with a 60k income (her single mom's). Uhmmmm. Yea. That's higher than the median US income, and her city isn't even as big or popular as Orlando (she claims that her city is "big"). If my mom, with a 12k (poverty-level I believe?) income can pay for ( Read more... )

rant, generics

I wish we made that much money too! Compared to us, she's filthy rich, but she has to "penny pinch?" Yea, I don't think so..

Which bank do you guys use now? I like Fairwinds but it's a credit union. Though it's still good!

Lol yesss.. one example as in one person acting stupid/spoiled.

Exactly.. we are spoiled compared to many because of our luxuries. But it's when people complain of being poor or whatever, when they're obviously not, that bothers me.

Well, watching those movies made me realize that in reality, these material possessions don't really matter, and most of us take such things for granted (and don't appreciate the finer things in life). In both of the movies listed above, women leave their warring homes for the US and have to leave practically everything behind while struggling not to become psycho or something after all they've experienced. I don't think commercials are long enough to have a good effect on people, though one music video has almost made me cry lol. What movies did you watch anyway?

Yea I'm not sure where either of us is going, but this was just a small rant on how lame some people are (well, one person).

Now I have. Pre-pregnant is stupid! That's basically every fertile female that's not pregnant! Why would someone need to label a young lady "pre-pregnant" when she's obviously not pregnant? This sounds like another small plan to strengthen pro-life arguments.

I just woke up, so my brain isn't functioning entirely ... I can't really remember what movies, lmao, but I do remember watching Stossel videos in econ? He did this one on welfare or something, I think, and damn, some places are crappy ... though, at the same time, a lot of people were just too lazy to work, those losers!

I KNOW! That's such a stupid idea ::Kicks CDC:: Some women won't have kids, and some won't be able to in the future due to unexpected disease or something, so just assuming that certain women will (almost) always be "pre-pregnant" is stupid. Plus, are they going to find ways to make us stay away from "bad" things for pregnant women? How retarded.

I have no idea what you're talking about in the first paragraph lol.

DAMN THOSE CONSERVATIVES!! ARRR! But yes, basically everybody is pre-pregnant.. Like I said yesterday, if they want to increase prenatal health awareness, they should make it mandatory in health classes or something... but I'm pretty sure that they teach that in health anyway?

I took a break from my scavanger hunt for finding out ways to get out of my speeding ticket to check out your LJ. First think I noticed, you work at Universal. I do too, in fact, that was where I was headed when I got pulled over.

Anyway, mind if I add you to my friends list?

Oh not at all, glad to make new friends. XD

Do you work at Universal Studios or IoA?

And more importantly, what's your name? Lol. Mine's Sandy.

I'm Robin.

I work in Pass Sales so they move me around from Universal to IOA on any given day. My schedule for now seems to be three days a week at Universal and 2 at IOA.
