La Vie Boheme...

So! During the past 5 days in Germany I...

- Remembered why Europe is so fantastic.
- Bonded bunches with the Aryan side of my family (I'm just kidding they are all wonderful people who I love very much)
- Got used to having fresh bread every morning for breakfast.
- Realized life doesn't end when you can't go online.
- Realized that in fact, it's kind of nice.
- Had more "worstchens" (hotdogs) than can possibly be healthy.
- Bought Birkenstocks where you're supposed to buy Birkenstocks.
- Experienced the German version of Mardi Gras... that goes on for 6 days, called Carnival. And it's for everyone, not just boys looking to get flashed and girls willing to do it. Not that that doesn't happen.

And of course...

- Literally partied all night.

I'm going to explain this one because it was the best night of my life, I think, and it is worth explaining. It was on Saturday and the plan was that I was going to go out with my cousin Yannick, which is essentially all the information that I was given. Then after a short discussion we decided that the best idea was to go to a town about a half-hour away, Köln (pronounced Colone), the center of Carnival. We would first meet up with his friends at a bar and then from there take the train to Köln, the destination being what's known as a "tech-house". It was insane. I got back at 7:30 in the A.M. I'm done explaining.

- Taken 8 shots without feeling it in the slightest. Who would have guessed.

- Bitched about how ridiculous the drinking age in the U.S is. We can go to war, have an abortion, drive a car, but we can't drink. Huh.

- Going back to the tech-house experience, smoked goods fresh from Amsterdam.

- Made the decision to move to Germany in September for one year.

- And, last but not least, fell in love with a boy named Sebastian (Basti for short). Like the crab in the little mermaid. Or Johann Sebastian Bach. Except cuter than both of them. So maybe it isn't love, but it certainly is something.

And nowwwww....

Back to the monotonous. Blah.
