Procrastination...
There is a force stronger than love, stronger than hate, stronger than lust, stronger than passion, stronger than just about everything.
And that force, my friends, is the force of procrastination. There is no remedy for this force. A disagreeable rumor is a remedy for love. A strong kind gesture is a remedy for hate. Seeing someone pick their nose is a remedy for lust. A new interest is a remedy for passion. But even full and complete awareness that you will hate yourself later for putting off work is not a remedy for procrastination.
Nothing will stop procrastination and nearly everything will further it along. For example LiveJournal, MySpace, Facebook, AIM, a full refridgerator, the entire series of Friends on DVD, a cell phone, Snood, or just staring blankly at the computer screen.
It could be argued that a deadline is a remedy for procrastination. But it isn't, it's proof of procrastination. If you're so aware of the deadline it's probably because you've waited for it to come until you actually did whatever it is that you have a deadline for.
So all this being said, I'm going to submit to it and resign to the fact that when I'm done with this I'll probably go find an unopened box of oreos. Who really wants to go to college anyways.
