4th of July
Well, the day started off with church, then afterwards Isabel came home with us to see the Almansor Park celebration, except they didn't have any booths or food this year, which totally sucked. So my sister, Isabel, and I just decided to go to 7-Eleven, and when we were walking back, we were laughing at something, and I guess we were kind of loud, because this guy who walked past us decided to mock us and laugh really loudly himself. So I decided to laugh really loudly back, and my sister told me to be quiet because he could be in a gang and get his gang to come and beat me up or something because I made fun of him. She was joking, but it was still funny.
Eh, after we got home, I was going to play badminton with Isabel, but Hannah hadn't come yet, so we decided to wait. But by the time she got here, Isabel had to leave so I just went with Hannah to the park and we played badminton and hackey-sack. We were also gonna play basketball, but the courts were all taken by these big men. And when someone left, we were too scared to snatch it because there were other big men waiting. When there was FINALLY a court open near us, we went in, and the stupid guys decide they want to play one more game! I got mad...but they were big, so we just decided to go home after that. Hannah said the next time we go, we need to bring some big, mean-looking guy with us to get us a court. hehe
After, we ate dinner and went to the park to watch fireworks. Man...these kids near us were so annoying. They kept trying to predict what color the next firework would be. And my sister's friends next to me were also really annoying. They kept saying "WOW, OOH, COOL" in a mocking manner, and when Star Spangled Banner came on, they started singing, off-key might I add.
At around 10, we went to San Pedro beach for a Grunion Run with the church youth group. I went with Hannah's family and my sister went with her friends and they got there later than us. We and Isabel's family were there like, 30 minutes before everyone else, and we saw some grunions! They look kind of like sardines. It was really really cool! And the water wasn't that cold either, which was good. But after everyone came, we saw no more grunions, which sucked. And we didn't catch any either. But it's ok, it was still fun seeing them.
Got home around 2 so I was so pooped. A looong day. Got to church at 8:30 and didn't sleep until 2.
