That's the date we have to be out of our apartment. We (we = my husband Ryan and me, Lauren) have decided not to extend our lease another year because we're going to buy our first house. Currently we live in a 965 sq. ft 2 bedroom apartment with our 2 cats, Neville and Hermione. Yes, we are Harry Potter nerds and proud of it! We moved into this apartment July 25th, 2008, about 9 months after we got married. We're moving closer to Chicago, right now we live about 55 miles south of the city. Ryan's going to school to be a network administrator and wants to be closer to potential jobs in Chicago.
This is the layout of our apartment, altho ours is the end unit so picture everything flipped. Living room is to the right, kitchen to the left, etc.
The particular apartment we're in was set on fire by the previous tenant, and as a result the whole unit was gutted and redone. I think there are about 70 apartments here, ours is the only remodeled one which is awesome. We have new everything except the bathtubs and the dishwasher, and really nice looking laminate floors instead of carpet. I love our apartment, the dining room and living room are really good sized and nice and open. I could definitely go for a bigger kitchen, with more than one person in there at a time you bump into each other a lot but we've gotten used to it after 2 years. I'll post a few pictures of our apartment next time, altho I've already started packing for our move so there are boxes all over.
