Thank Goodness for Massive Cash

I'm feeling so relieved! The check is in the bank, and I can rest easy for awhile now. As soon as the check clears, we'll make another large deposit for Valle Vista (our reception site). We're also trying to encourage Carrie to do our photography again. Maybe we'll offer her a new camera? I'm sure she'd like a free upgrade. (Free in the sense of no cost to her, not free in the sense of she has to take pictures with it to get it!)

Bought a lovely grey futon and matching pillows. Looks a LOT more like a couch than an actual futon imo. I should know about my roomchange request today (at some point).

Got my third grade from English (100%, quiz). Such an easy class. Pop quiz in Hon Minority Politics over the reading. I'm negotiating with the professor to get the Honors kids to NOT have to write another experience diary. Two of the three Honors kids in the class have already completed one. I did mine for the same professor in African American Experience a year ago. It was obnoxious, and this one would essentially be a complete repeat of the previous one.

Hon Public Opinion was canceled due to last minute baby-doctor-couple thing. Dr. Turner's wife is about to have a baby any day now. I don't think today is delivery day, but they went in for a checkup. But I was going to miss class anyways because the President required the attendance of all Forensics members to show off for a group of university supporters with $$. So we dressed up and played our part.

While we were waiting around in our suits, Judy stopped by Todd and I and offered to host an engagement party for us sometime next semester. (Looks like she might not be able to make it because she works at an antique store on Saturdays.) But she does want to host for us which I think is wonderful. She asked where we were registered, so we told her Target, Ten Thousand Villages, and soon, Macys. This will be wonderful because I don't think we'd have one without her.
