Working on a project in Contemporary Issues at the moment.
Martha and I chose Hong Kong as our area of study. Although we are in two separate class periods, we are going to collaborate a little, especially when it comes to making food for the day of the presentation. Plus, I'm going to see if I can interview her parents for a portion of it.
I'll be putting together a powerpoit presentation to complete the product. Which is perfect because I've been spending ALL my free time pretty much on the laptop and the internet. And I need to see if I can pull a few Hong Kong photos off of Mike's MSN space. I know he has a few on there...
But back to the whole internet addiction thing. This is getting slightly out of hand, and I should probably put a check on myself. I arrive home after school, put my purse on the kitchen counter next to my keys, grab a quick bite to eat, grab my laptop, sit on the couch, and access the internet.....for HOURS, shutting down to crawl to bed at 10:30 or 11.
Among other things, I've become addicted to eBay. Financial planning? Out the window. THAT needs to be stopped. =\ I'll regret it later. Well, actually, perhaps its more of a fluid financial planning. I know I'll need these items soon, so I buy them now, when they're cheap. Maybe its not so much of a 'buying' problem as a 'planning priority' problem.
In the past 2-3 weeks, I've bought:
- A black briefcase tote (for debate and laptop) on eBay
- A Charlotte Russe summer dress on eBay (really cheap, $8 including shipping)
- A pearl french barrette (for Prom) on eBay
- A silk flower (for Prom) on eBay
- A lot of 4 Forever 21 shirts for summer on eBay
- A video for Kayla (paid by her too) on eBay
- Another Kayla item, still pending
- A wristlet purse for Prom at Walmart
- Anniversary Gift from...*shhh*
- Hair ties
- Face Mask
